What are PyroBubbles®? 

PyroBubbles® are an innovative fire extinguishing and prevention material developed by the Genius Group. Composed primarily of silicon dioxide, these granules are lightweight, non-combustible, and thermally stable up to approximately 1050°C.  

When exposed to higher temperatures, PyroBubbles® melt to form a closed, thermally insulating layer around the fire source, smothering it. 

The Battery Charging Case Pro and range of Battery Safes are filled with pouches of PyroBubbles® fire suppression, designed to fit around and between the lithium-ion batteries. In the event of thermal runaway, the outer film of the pouches melts, releasing the PyroBubbles®. This suppresses the battery explosion and protects the surrounding area.   

In preventive fire protection, PyroBubbles® are used to fill cavities, cable trays, and installation shafts. Pyrobubbles® are ideal for fire suppression in challenging situations, such as lithium-ion batteries fires, where conventional extinguishing agents may be ineffective or cause damage. 

Key properties include low thermal and electrical conductivity, hydrophobicity, and resistance to aging. These Pyrobubbles® offer workplaces an edge when controlling fire risk – particularly for lithium-ion battery fires. 

Tested, Proven Fire Suppression for Various Classes 

They are suitable for extinguishing various classes of fires, including A (solid combustibles), B (flammable liquids), D (flammable metals), and F (cooking oils and fats). Additionally, these innovative PyroBubbles® are capable of absorbing flammable electrolytes, making them ideal for the storage and transportation of lithium-ion batteries.

The Battery Safe range is ideal for the transport and collection of all lithium-ion batteries, including damaged ones. With a range of capacities from small to extra-large sizes, these battery safes are suitable for the storage and transport of lithium batteries for power tools, laptops, mob devices, and e-vehicle batteries.  

Designed to contain thermal runaway and exothermic reactions through the Pyrobubbles® fire protection technology, the boxes reduce the risk of human harm and environmental impacts. They are manufactured from durable polyethylene and may be stacked to provide a space-efficient solution. Features include lift handles for manual handling and heavy-duty straps for secure containment.

Battery Charging Case Pro 

The Battery Charging Case Pro is a premium quality solution for lithium battery safety, offering robust protection and practical functionality for battery charging. The case features a charging cord access point, meaning the case remains effective during battery charging hours. 

The portable case offers ergonomic handles and closing clips to ensure easy handling and reliable containment, especially while using batteries on the go. 

A standout feature of the Battery Case Pro is its ability to charge batteries while stored inside, offering unmatched convenience. It’s made with thick polypropylene and lined with a 10mm layer of hardened PyroBubbles®, providing an extra barrier against heat and fire. The case is constructed with two ventilation points, with allows smoke and gases to escape during a thermal runaway event, therefore preventing dangerous pressure buildup within the charging case.
